T\u00e1to rastlina dostala svoje meno v\u010faka svojmu bizarn\u00e9mu tvaru, ktor\u00fd je ve\u013emi podobn\u00fd palme: dlh\u00fd hol\u00fd kme\u0148 a h\u0155ba listov na vrchole. V pr\u00edrode strom dorast\u00e1 do v\u00fd\u0161ky 9 m. Listy s\u00fa tie\u017e pomerne ve\u013ek\u00e9 &#8211; a\u017e 1 meter dlh\u00e9 a 15 cm \u0161irok\u00e9. \u0160trukt\u00fara je tuh\u00e1, ko\u017eovit\u00e1, s \u010dlenit\u00fdmi okrajmi, zelen\u00e1, so \u017eltkast\u00fdmi \u017eilkami. Plody maj\u00fa vajcovit\u00fd tvar, s\u00fa zelenohned\u00e9 s bielymi \u0161kvrnami, dorastaj\u00fa do priemeru 2,5 cm. Ficus Pseudopalma je ve\u013emi roz\u0161\u00edren\u00fd ako divok\u00e1 rastlina na ostrove Luzon a v in\u00fdch krajin\u00e1ch sa pestuje ako okrasn\u00e1 rastlina. U n\u00e1s sa mlad\u00e9 v\u00fdhonky tohto fikusu m\u00f4\u017eu pou\u017e\u00edva\u0165 v potravin\u00e1ch ako zelenina a listy s\u00fa ve\u013emi ob\u013e\u00faben\u00e9 v tradi\u010dnej medic\u00edne pre tento regi\u00f3n. Takto sa list pou\u017e\u00edva na v\u00fdrobu lieku proti obli\u010dkov\u00fdm kame\u0148om.
